What is he supposed to tell them?

Its not always about what he tells them. It would have been good to take timeouts to kill the momentum Mizzou had in the middle of the 1st half. They went from down 13 to up 13 and we didn't take a timeout, thats unheard of.

Yeah I think we definitely could have used a timeout or two during some of those stretches.

Jones has been pretty terrible with timeouts.

The one he took early down 6-0 was perfect. It was like he didn't want to use 2 in the 1st half.

We had chances down the stretch. After those 3 made threes. Get back within 8 mouche air ball. Still down 8 stringer lazy turnover on the baseline. Down nine Job turnover. Down 9 stringer missed free throw. If we convert on those trips, game comes down to the final seconds

Just a bad matchup for LSU. My only real complaint was that Hickey didn't seem to be as agressive in the second half. Wish he would have been a little more assertive. Overall the stats are pretty similar, Mizzou just used their size to get more easy buckets

That was a tough one. Mizzou used their bigs well, but they also had some help from the refs. LSU would have to play a near perfect game to win at their house, especially if they are getting most of the close calls. And that second half wasn't LSU's best.

Kudos to this team.
We lost this game because we have 0 inside presence besides JOB.
Still this team is playing pretty good ball. We have a good shot of making a run in the sect if we keep playing like this.

The best team won today. Missouri was a preseason NCAA tourney team, and they played one of their best games at home, and NEEDED it to win. We were just outmatched on the blocks. Help is on the way. No worries

Didn't really feel like a game where we were getting blown out. LSU showed lots of hustle, even late in the game when most hope was lost. Additionally, it was a very entertaining game--more entertaining than most of Trent's wins.

I am not claiming a moral victory, but I like where the team is headed.

Just thought I would pop in over here as well to say great game to the Tigers to the south. Your team has no quit and plays with a lot of tenacity. I'm not sure who you lose, but I know you have a solid class coming in. A lot to look forward to. Good look in the SECt.

and JOB might leave for the NBA draft. Hopefully he doesn't though, because if he stays we might be a top 25 team.

Carmouche is a player. But if you have Hickey and JOB coming back with your class coming in, you guys will be in the thick of it next year.

No shame in today's game. All road games are tough and Columbia can be tougher than some. No matter the final score, that game was a battle from start to end. Also impressed with Jones as a coach. I think he out coached Haith in both games. I think our depth and just being at home pushed us over the edge today.

The only knock off on Jones is his timeout management. He only calls timeouts when he absolutely has to. An example of this would be when you guys went up 6-0.

BTW, I like Haith as a coach. I know some of your fans aren't impressed with him, but I think he does a great job of adjusting at halftime.

I thought the timeout at 6-0 was a great timeout that not many coaches would have made. If it's not called right then, that arena could erupt and you could be down double digits before you even score. So I thought it was a smart use on that occasion at least.

As to Haith, I'm still not impressed with his x's and o's. Not sure about adjustments in the 2nd half but I do think he does a good job of getting the intensity level up in the 2nd half. The flip side of that is that he does a poor job of making sure the intensity level is up to start the game. I'm happy with him overall, but certainly acknowledge his weaknesses. He has a pretty good class coming in next year as well, which is one of his strengths.

It was. Never felt comfortable until the final whistle. Gotta tell ya, really love JOB. We're solid on the boards, but still find myself wishing we had someone with his presence inside.
