Baseball Tailgating/ game times?

I live in TN. but return to La. often to visit family and of course games in the fall. I will be in BR on Sat. Is it worth going to campus for some sort of tailgating? Is the scene like a smaller version of football games? I do not have a ticket, maybe buy one outside the stadioum, if unlucky I'll go to Walk-Ones or someplace to soak up the atmosphere! Hell of a game last night! 
And do ya'll think the Saturday game will be an afternoon or evening game?

Tailgating has been pretty hopping all season the grass lot across from walk ons is free. Get there 4 or 5 hours before the game to get a decent spot.

Regardless of gametime, tailgating will be an all-day affair.

Get there about 4-5 hours before first pitch. There's tailgating in the grassy lot across from the Stadium by walk ons. RVs will be out in full force a little further down, closer to the football stadium. If you can't get a ticket, Walk Ons is a good place to watch it. That's where I will be if I don't get tickets.

I showed up to the game last night without tickets and ended up having 6 tickets given to me for free, and many more offered that I turned down. This was for the regional championship game. You will always be able to find tickets.
