I think most like his bat. It's his defense that's the worry. My guess is he'll settle into the DH spot.

Chinea's was line drive barely over left field fence, it was crushed.

Deichman did not have a good day at plate but he is coming off injury
Byrd had a nice hit but he tries to pull everything
Cartwright was hit hard, took one off foot but stayed in game
Jordan Beau smoked a couple right at people
Bryce bad error at third opened the floodgates

Not much situational stuff, no advancing runners, did not appear holding runners was on the agenda this practice, they were letting them run

Latz had 1,2,3 inning to start and looked good, coach extended him even though he was out of inning
Strall will be a factor out of bullpen, throwing Frisbees up there

typical mid week type practice, my guess is intensity will go up this weekend last dress rehearsal

Aaron Nola was at scrimmage

Kansas will be tough test early

Fraley did not look good at the plate either, practice is not his thing
Foster may get the early nod and one more shot to win everyday job

I spotted Jacoby Jones talking to coach at the end of the dugout, also. Had on Pirate's hat and shorts.
