Purple beats Gold 7-4 in 7 innings. Third dinger of the Spring for the losers.

Gold
LF Fraley 1-4 1K sb
SS Byrd 1-3
1st Chinea 3-3 HR 2b BB 3RBI
C Papierski 1-4 1K RBI
RF Jordan, Beau 0-3
CF Sciambra 0-3 2K
3rd Jordan, Bryce 0-1 2BB 2cs
2nd Deichmann 0-2 1K 1BB

Pitchers
Latz 88mph 2.2IP 4H 4ER 0K 3BB 2wp
Devall 86mph 1IP 0H 0ER 0K 0BB
Cartwright 90mph 2.2IP 6H 3ER 1K 0BB
Bugg 87mph 1IP 0H 0ER 2K 0BB

Purple
RF Laird 0-4 1K SAC sb 2RBI
SS Bregman 1-3 sb 1RBI
1st Hale 1-3 SAC 1RBI
C Scivicque 2-4
CF Stevenson 2-4 1K 2sb
LF Foster 1-2 2b 2BB 1K 2sb 1RBI
3rd Zardon 2-3 1BB 1RBI
2nd Robertson 1-3 1K SAC sb

Pitchers
Norman 89mph 3IP 4H 3ER 1K 1BB
Reynolds 89mph 1IP 0H 0ER 1K 0BB
Strall 85mph 1IP 0H 0ER 2K 1BB
Stallings 87mph 1.2IP 2H 1ER 1K 2BB

Chinea joins Foster and Bregman in the homer club for this spring. All three were to left field and, IMO only Bregman's would have gone out last year.

Mr. Latz really needs to work on holding runners on base. All 7 sb's were against him. Pap didn't stand a chance of throwing them out.

Thanks for the info. It is good to see Reynolds have a great outing and throwing 89. He'll get stronger.

I think Paul is really just trying to work on the pitchers and catchers ability to hold and throw out runners in as live a scenario as they can have.

I hope no opposing teams' personnel sees this thread or thjs scrimmage at how slow Latz was to the plate.

Lots of hits today. I'm sure at least part of that is our hitters adjusting to live action pitching. Those stolen bases against Latz though...

Thanks as always, Scuba

Yes, I was in my usual scrimmage seat. I'm beginning to see Hunter in a Paul Bertuccini role.

Your a trooper Boss it was just a lil too cold for me today. He definitely has made a significant jump from a yr ago in my opinion.
