I agree with this, opening weekend is like the Bermuda Triangle of all weather patterns.

Thanks for the update Scuba. Outside of the nice stats, how does Lockridge look?

Lochridge has 1 error in 3 chances so far this spring. Too early to make much of an impression.

Could he play 2B to give us some offense? I know nothing about his physical skills

Second base is Kramer Robertson's to lose, IMO. If he falters, there are several options available. This fall, Deichmann, Freeman, Reid, as well as Robertson had turns at second along with a walk-on, Bryce Laird.

Bryce related to Mark? If so, can he run like him? Haha

No, Bryce Laird is not related to Mark Laird. He wasn't invited back for Spring because that would have violated the NCAA team limit on players named Bryce.

This is a little known rule that often trips up a compliance department. Good to see that our guys are on the ball.

We need it to. Adams wasn't much better. I know Bryce J. is a good player and athlete but I really don't want a 5'9 1B...

One of these days, before I'm gone, I'd like to see LSU recruit a power hitting 6' 4" lefty with a good glove, again. Till then, I'll be hanging with the settlers.

agreed. the fact that the premier program in the country cannot find someone over 6'3" with a big stick to play 1st base is odd to me.

So you want a big'n with a slow-pitch-softball belly like this feller?

I think he's an everyday starter by the end of the year.
