Not soon enough. Now that football is over its all baseball until august.

Most practices end with a 6 inning scrimmage and its open the the public.

coaches can start 2 hour w/ each player either saturday or monday

Forgive my ignorance, but if the players wanted to practice, with no assistance from the coaches, would they be allowed to do so?

yes it would have to be Voluntary practice thou.

That is why I said "wanted". I figured that as much, but didn't know if there was some rule behind that as well.

This. With these new bats, 10 homeruns will be an accomplishment. Large ball parks like Texas' and Regions park are going to have plenty of deep fly outs.
