LSU should always host a regional. It's one of the top programs in the country and should be able to pull the talent alone to at least host a regional every year. Super regional is a different story. Much tougher.

this is not the 90s we don't need to host it every year. Like I said 70%-80% of the time is very acceptable as far as regional hosts is concerned.

I like the McMullen move behind Bregs but damn it seems all he's done since is hit into DP. Just frustrating right now but I'm sure no one is more frustrated than the team and coaches.

When they are all hitting like they are capable of, a lineup consisting of McMullen, Scivicque, Bregman, Stevenson and Ibarra could be pretty dangerous.

It just so happens that 3 of those guys have been slumping for 2 weeks (Bregman, Stevie, Ibarra) and another has come up empty in his last few RBI chances (McMullen).

On the mound, yes. On the plate, no. And that's why many Tiger fans, like myself, are concerned.

When you are a unique baseball program like LSU...the only baseball team to ever sell 400K+ tickets...and we've done it twice now...you deserve the very best of everything. The best coaches would be included in that.

Because you can afford it.

Florida is actually hitting worse than us, atleast in the stat column. We have a very good chance to go in there and take a series from them. If Nola pitches like he always does, and Poche pitches like he did this past weekend we can win any series in the SEC.

We sweep because this weekend will be the turnaround and the team will get it's swag back and flip the bird at all those jort wearing rednecks.

"is hitting" denotes at the present time. False.

We don't have Arby Field to hit pinch hit triples when we go to Florida this time, brah.

Not to mention we were probably one of the 2 best teams last year, but that gets disregarded because we slumped for 2 games, a very small sample size

This. If Ibarra, Rhymes and Bregman don't go 0 for 24 in Omaha, things would have been different.

Was at the game tonight. Hitting wasn't impressive. Felt as though LSU had no mojo, no momentum. Is it three games in a row with 2 runs scored?

LSU hitting looked great in the pre SEC play, this is why I think we have potential.

Let's look at the bats

1) Laird, an average hitter
2) Bregman, best hitter in the SEC
3) McMuleen, has shown to be a great hitter at times
4) Scivicque, clearly has the potential to be one of the best hitters in the SEC
5) Hale, has shown some potential it seems.
6) Ibarra, see his stats from last year
7) Stevenson, has gone from one of the worst to one of the best hitters in this lineup
8) Fraley, great start to the season
8a) Moore is off and on as a hitter
8b) low average but has had some clutch hits
8c) Foster horrible start but he was clutch last year late in the season
9) Robertson, while his average hasn't shown it yet this guy has some good potential.

you people saying that our hitting sucks haven't been watching this entire season. This lineup has a lot of potential, if all of our batters are hitting above average we can challenge the best pitchers, right now all are hitting well bellow average, so we struggle to get runs.

Pitching is going to be great again this year, hitting I think will improve and will be good enough to help us get a host for a regional, but probably not enough for a super.

Just something to break the ice a little. I'm certain 99.9% of Tiger Baseball fans have seen this movie. Just something to ease the frustration...One of my all time favorite scenes in any sports movie.

yes we are probably one of the worst hitting in the SEC in SEC play alone, but I think our pre SEC play shows we can hit at-least decent.

Stop pumping sunshine. We can't hit a damn thing right now. I'd be in favor of making some moves within the lineup and bringing in new faces.
