I don't give him grief because catching is hard. And missing sometimes happens to them all.

If you just read the rant you would think he is Johnny Bench. Exceptional defensive catcher, etc so when he whiffed on a couple people will be too hard on him.

Heavy low 90s fastball, improving command. Decent breaking pitches. Just a good college pitcher but still has development meat left on the bone that makes pro scouts interested.

Dude went 3/4 of the way around, but still called a check swing.

Umpires will not give an inch to struggling pitchers.
