I wonder if we've ever swept in Starkville?

This gotta be quietest lsu team to be ranked #1 for multiple weeks. It's weird to me. I guess since we don't have that stud Pitching normally like we do. Idk but this team can hit the cover off the ball.

I know one thing, they're frustrating as hell a lot of the time. I guess because we follow them so closely, we see the bad more than casual observers. Not putting games away and playing to the level of the opponent are dangerous traits, but dang, you're right.

I think not putting teams away and not blowing teams out, people don't view this team as a great team. And Poche isn't that Ranaudo, Gausman, Nola arm we are used to, but he's been pretty damn good. Lange also. We have Bregman, but other than that this team isn't filled with stars. It's just a team full of guys who go out and battle everyday and get the job done. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going all the way to Omaha.

True, but it seems we have more depth than we've had in recent years

Wait, the Rant sees the negative in something? That's just crazy talk.

Someone else needs to start the game thread today. I'll probably have to leave before the final gun.

As frustrating as this team is to watch, I love em. Geaux Tigers.

Who in the SEC blows teams out on a regular basis though? It was just a couple of weeks ago that Vandy had lose two series in a row.

this team reached 40 wins in 47 games. 2013 did it in 46. pretty good company.

CWS Champs > Reg Season Champs + SECT Champs

Obviously. But I'm tired of being "good" without anything to show for it. We have a great opportunity this year. Not as good as 2013 IMO, but better than 2009 when everything came together perfectly at the end.

To be fair, those three aren't mutually exclusive.

That said, all I care about is a natty seed. I could care less if Vandy wins the reg season & A&M wins in Hoover, as long as LSU is a top 8 seed.

That is all that matters.

Key difference in Omaha with us this year is we have speed/baserunning ability to manufacture runs that could make the difference, whereas we didn't have that in 2013. Also, the ball may help.

We are better suited to succeed offensively in Omaha this year than we were 2 years ago.
