When we get someone on first with 0 or 1 out? Just wondering. We are slow and can't hit for power so I would think we just manufacture runs.

We don't bunt very well, either.

I recall that with Nola but didn't think that was a bunt but a pitch in the dirt in the first inning. I missed most of this game.

So other than our hitting, bunting, and base running our offense is very good.

PM tried that last year because he disliked the bat. We didn't make it to post season.

Changes need to be made like we did with our pitching.

Hanover bunted in the 8th and pinch runner was easily thrown out at 2nd.

So we still can't bunt well either.

One big problem with this team trying to play that way is this is the slowest LSU team on the bases that I can ever remember. Outside of Jacoby and Fields the running talent is definitely no optimal to playing small ball.

Bunting gives away outs and reduces run scoring. Your solution to not scoring runs is to reduce the number of opportunities for the team to get hits? Gee, how will that turn out?

Just thought with all the dp's that maybe bunting would keep us out of those and advance runners into scoring position

Ask Mainieri, he's the one who gave away outs early in this game

This. Statistically it's a bad idea in college baseball for sure.

Sac bunting is smart in the MLB. It's dumb in college baseball where hits come often and pitchers can't throw strikes consistently.
