there really is no reason these guys have not been playing other than a off the field issue. Does anyone know?

Bain in limited action has been pushed around. Gilmore I saw on the field one time and he blew threw the guard and made a play didn't see him again.

I think Gilmore is moving to fullback.

Yeah Gilmore is a big son of a gun needs to be in there on first downs, Herron and Godcheaux should be in on 3rd. They need to play these guys if anything to see what they do in games??? You never freakn know. Look coaches thought Harris wasn't ready, obviously wrong and they have to be more prepared than Godcheaux mentally and physically if not we need a new freakn coach that demands more work from them to be ready!!

the starters have not been very good especially later in the game. It couldn't be that much worse.

According to Bain (NOLA.com interview), his pad level is too high and he needs to get better using his hands...

Bain has played a good bit...

He's played in every game except Wisky, when he was suspended.

At some point preseason the Chief mentioned that these two guys would be part of a five or six man rotation, I guess he has since changed his mind.

Bain's been gradually getting more reps it seems. No idea on Gilmore, guess he's just not there yet.

This.

In spring and fall camp, it sounded like Bain was doing well and going to see a lot of PT. And that Gilmore still has some more work to do. Not really sure what his issues are and what he needs to work on, but that's the vibe I got.

I think Bain could be the most talented DT on our roster, along with Godchaux(not including Valentine for obvious reasons). He's cut weight and firmed up from last year and looks good. But I'm more excited about his athleticism at the DT spot. He was 6'4 315lbs in high school and can dunk on the bball court and averaged like 19 and 11 in high school. And his coach didn't call him a lineman, he called him an athlete. If he can gradually improve and focus on the little things like pad level and hand placement, I think Bain could become a force for us. Just hope he keeps working and focusing on the little things that he needs to. Because we need a DT to step up in the worst way.
