LSU has not been beat yet this year...However, they have beat themselves 3 times.

All 3 losses have one common theme-2+ errors in each game.

As for tonight, great game. Exciting, crowd was into it, but again we gave them 2 runs. Take them away we win 9-8.

As for the rotation, i think coleman should move to the weekend and Ott close. My opinion (which means nothing) but coleman is lights out, plus he has started before.

goodthing is it is baseball and you play alot of games. As long as the road to the CWS goes through BR we'll be alright

I don't know how you can say Illinois didn't beat us in that Sunday game, but I guess you can wear the shite out of those purple and gold shades

We were beat Sunday before the game even started.

We had the mindset going in that we were going to hit a HR on every atbat. We didnt care about getting on base and moving runners over and getting them in, we wanted to go yard every pitch. YOU CANT WIN LIKE THAT!

Why is LSU even allowing 8 runs against ULL? You can say we gave them 2 runs, but they still scored 4x that amount by themselves.

We threw CAIN who isnt back fully from injury yet, then we came with MATTHEWS who doesnt have a scholarship, and thats where most of the USL runs came from.

Possibly sunday but the point was we still made errors on sunday that allowed runs to score. We allowed 5 earned runs sunday and had chances to win late. DJ' ball in the 8th was smashed right at the LF.

starting pitcher on friday is not up for discussion, it's Ranaudo, and there is no reason that it shouldn't be

right, ULL scored on there runs on Cain and Matthews. LSU will not win every game 15-3 especially the midweek game. ULL hit the ball well early on. Clearly we have pitching depth concerns but that ws known before the year started. The weekends are what count and we have 6 good pitchers to get us through that

We need to improve on the bases.

Leon trying to take 2nd on his blooper really hurt us.

I hope Mitchell can get back to full strength soon.

Thats what I'm trying to figure out. Was he waved on to go to 2nd by the coach or was it his decision?

Cause normally the coach make the call..

Not sure if you knew this or not, but defense counts in baseball too. But I guess shutting LSU down in the bottom of the ninth after we took the lead back doesn't count for "beating" you.

Apparently "beating" people only comes from offense.

You have to play the game every night....

That Illinois pitcher on Sunday completely shut our azz down.....give him credit.

ULL beat us because two of our pitcher's could not get them out........give them credit.

They lost 2 of 3 to Arkansas State and only scored like 8-9 runs in a THREE game series.....

We need to get off this 'mid week' pitching garbage everytime we lose to an instate team. I don't care if USL brought back alum Ron Guidry and had him in his '78 Yankees format and we pitched Smiley Anders. LSU knew good and well USL would be fired up and take this game seriously. It was our obligation to do so as well. If USL "got up" for us,we should have "gotten up" for them.

Congrats to the Cajuns. Fine win.
