Malzahn: "Everyone is day to day. Not ready to say if Carl Lawson will travel to LSU or not"

Housley is done for the year so they will have to use TF corners.

Jovon Robinson is not looking good to play much.

Dunno about others

Robinson is a RB. He has some sort of ankle sprain he's trying to deal with.

Lawson (hip flexor, torn ACL in '13) has been on crutches. I know Gus is saying DTD but let's be real here. There's no way he's 100% Saturday.

Matthews, our Safety, is banged up. Possibly won't start. (hamstring during fall practices, rumored shoulder stiffness/soreness now)

Not looking good on our injury front

The biggest would be Lawson at full strength. He is a game changer-type. I see them going with the same plan as MsState, and stack the box. If they unleash Harris, and he is on, it could be ugly, but I expect a close game looking at recent history, and having a young QB with a short leash.

Their freshman RB will have a big game, he is the best they have. Not been impressed with Roc Thomas, but they don't beat that FCS school without that freshman RB, he is the real deal, and their biggest weapon.

Looks like we'll stack the box and let LF do his usual damage. Hoping to make Harris beat us with his arm.

Our secondary is young. Carlton Davis looks pretty talented but he's a true freshman. He looked good in coverage but nothing near Tolliver's level. On the other side, Jonathan Jones is a steady, reliable guy. He doesn't make many mistakes but he's not freakishly athletic.

I'm assuming you're talking about Peyton Barber. He's a RS SO.

Roc looks like fumblin' Fannin' so far. Our true freshman, Kerryon Johnson, is 100% healthy and has looked good on his limited chances.

Do you think LSU can do this against the Aub secondary?

Was very impressed with Barber...missing Robinson shouldn't be a big issue.

The Auburn fan's I have talked to believe so. They will have freshmen and injured players in their secondary

I think so, yes. Our secondary is young and razor thin. Our DBs aren't getting beat this year but LSU had speed at WR that should test that.

Harris will find more success in short and intermediate passes that our DBs have had trouble getting in position to defend. The JSU game was an abortion but their QB did a good job. He threw lasers to their WRs and #15 on their team had a highlight reel of tough catches.

Harris should find success running the ball too. Our LBs and our DEs without lawson have failed to contain dual threat QBs. I think Harris' wheels are the difference maker

Barber has been named the starter I believe and will be the workhorse back. I think they'll try to use Roc Thomas and Louis as our sweep/change of pace options. Kerryon Johnson is an option there too. Barber doesn't have top-end speed. He's a lot like Cameron Artis-Payne from last year in that respect.

It doesn't matter how much success Jacksonville State had passing against Auburn. They through for 277 yards and ran for I think 163. Miles will line up and run it up the middle against their 9 man front. He doesn't base his offensive game plan on anything other than the fact that he is going to run the ball on first and second down because that's how the did it at Meeechigan.

I think our gameplan will be the same as last week except Harris will keep the ball a lot more often on the read-option.

I really wanted to watch him play Saturday. Def an advantage for LSU with him out, but I wanted to see our guys play against him.

What is wrong with him?
