AJ seemed calm when he was staring down Dural all last season while we went 8-5 with a passing offense ranked in triple digits. Is calm where we should set our expectations, or is it ok to hope for more production out of the position?.

I'm also guessing green jerseys can have a calming effect, although I have no data to support that theory.

My big takeaway - there really isn't much for the Rant to freak out over regarding the QB's (Thank God).

Harris looks generally solid, Jennings looks improved. Progress is Progress.

Maybe it was just me, but it felt like when Harris was the QB LSU almost exclusively in the shotgun. With Jennings in there it was more of a mix between that and under center.

It's a spring game so everything is taken with a grain of salt, but it appeared that Jennings was much more composed in the pocket. However, it also appeared that way last season as well. The problem was him finding his receiver and getting the ball out of his hands. He certainly wasn't afraid to stand in there.

Clearly Harris has the better arm. He's good on the deep ball, but his intermediate touch is a bit lacking (everything is thrown hard). Still, you would love to see LSU let him attack a defense over the middle with seam, slant and crossing routes. The worry I guess is that he still seems very willing to get outside the pocket and try to make something happen outside the design of the play. I think that still kind of worries the coaching staff.

Just my unscientific opinion:

Harris is a boom/bust QB right now. He's much more apt to make a huge play than Jennings, but he also makes you worry that he'll turn the ball over trying to make a play that isn't there

Jennings seems to be a bit more steady. He likely won't make many huge plays, but he probably won't make a ton of bad ones either. Is that better? Last year LSU was pretty stagnant on offense.

Either way, the coaching MUST put whoever the QB is in a position to succeed. There are just too many good players on offense for LSU to struggle so bad in the passing game.

Toliver's pick came on spears not chark. And spears got owned. Just let him muscle him out of bounds

then why was he overthrowing open receivers and taking a bunch of sacks? he got sacked twice on one possession.

Jennings was sacked 3 times, Harris 2. All for the purple. It was touch football, sacks are much easier. But keep on spinning for your guy doc...it's what you do best

One thing i took away in the beginning especially, and this could be because Harris was with the second team was he got rattled and would role out....id like to see him stay in the pocket more
