Plus the long term inability of LSU and the local government to expand the roads to/from Tiger Stadium

Save all the excuses. These are the reasons, whether you agree with them (expansions, policies put into place) or not, these are why attendance is so poor in the last part of the game.

It isn't alcohol sales. It isn't piped-in music. It even isn't the millennials.

The Save the Oaks saved the oaks, so not saying it was wrong, but that took away hundreds of car spots

The stadium expansion was a big irreversible straw that broke the camel's back. Not just the last expansion, but all of the ones since we had an 80K capacity. 80K would be tenable. 102 is definitely not.

And Corporate tickets, in large part due to the oil economy (not as much in '15/'16) over the last decade has transferred TAF tickets to corporate types who just are not the same in concern for the game as Jeaux Tiger would be....

So, unless you have a magic wand, we all just have to deal with it for all but the big games that are close until the end.

People went to the games then because it was the only way to see them play. Now you can watch it on your phone walking back to your car after halftime, if you even care.

I went to games in the early 90's when people were parking on top of trees but that ended towards 99 and 2000.

It wasn't just "Save the Oaks", it was also forcing people to pay to tailgate on campus rather than having campus open to everyone to park. That took away several thousand spots right there as well.

Tailgating was great from 05-11. Lots of rule changes in the parking and trailer fees curbed tailgating. Many just came to tailgate and watch the game on tvs at tailgates. The new policies helped curb this and as a result many people are just packing up their tailgate an hr before the game starts instead of coming back and tailgating after the game.

We uses to have 60 people watch the game on tv at the tailgate and they didn't have tickets to the game. Instead of 180K on campus for a large game you only get 110K now.

Ding Ding Ding. Both of these are Winner$.

Don't underestimate the PIM though. The masses are truly annoyed with that shite and bolt as soon the game is out of hand to get away from the overly loud wretched excess musical garbage that's being forced upon their senses!

It is horrible. I wish we could at least TRY going back to limited or no "PIM" during the game. I am fine with playing Calling Baton Rouge or the thing before the kickoff, but it does drive me crazy after a while when they keep playing it between plays.
