Look around baws.. it ain't just LSU.

Vandy... virtually empty... more fans in seats for a HS game in most states

Texas... they won a rent a win game... their fans didn't show up to watch 'cause they lost to Maryland last week

It's not unique to LSU, that's for sure.

The day when we compare the attendance of games to Vandy is the day we got issues..

I think a lot of our fans that travel here are still digging out from Harvey.

So ready for a week of complaining that we didn't pack the stands for 4 quarters against Chatanooga

TS looked 75-80% full at the beginning of the game. That's not out-of-the-norm for a game like Chatanooga. If that continues into SEC matchups, I'll be a little more concerned, depending on the numbers.

Yeah, the South is getting ravaged by hurricanes ATM. That's a lot of fans getting affected.

Who said we were "the best fans in the country". The best fans do not leave at half time

I agree... but they made it to UT a week ago. They didn't return for a shitty opponent game a week later.

I'm not sure what the crowd was like at aTm.

Granted LSU football is not a comparison with Vandy.... it was just the most glaring example of "low fan turnout"

Correct - they leave in the 3rd quarter like you're supposed to.

The students were gone at halftime that was bad. I took a panoramic shot of the stadium at start of 3rd qtr. South end zone was pretty much same as start. Gold seats were starting to leave and the students were GONE.

What is the student gripe about leaving early? They don't have nearly the traffic problems. Certainly don't have kids and most likely no wives growing restless.

So why leave?

Might have been 10-20k by the 4th quarter.

I think too many people get wiped out tailgating and figure they can watch the second half at home.

I wish we could have 3pm games for the rent a wins and night games for the big games. Instead it's the opposite.

Well as someone who recently graduated, I decided to sit in the ss with a couple of friends that still go there. I couldn't believe the amount of students that didn't even know the words to their own alma mater and were stomping at the wrong parts of it. Maybe they went home to learn it?

College and pro football gamedays are simply too expensive these days. It used to be fun with reasonable pricing but between ticket costs, TAF, parking costs/timing/delays, etc. plus eating and drinking costs on top.... it's MUCH cheaper and better coverage to just watch at home.

The upper decks at Arkansas weren't even filled for TCU

part of the problem with Texas is that they play home games in dangerous heat and apparently don't have the same power as LSU to tell the networks no to that in Sept

Every game is on tv.

Schools have priced the average fan out of the stadium.

What do you expect?
