Especially on the offensive side of the ball....Why would any kid in America come play offense at LSU? Especially Quarterback and Wide Receiver? I get the whole LSU produces NFL talent argument, but as a kid, I would want to go somewhere where there's an actual chance to produce and have fun on offense.

We'll see in 3 months. My guess is very little as long as we keep putting kids in the NFL.

This thread has been started for 11 years.

Love love love the fans that want recruiting to suffer because they hate the coach

"It" started affecting QB recruiting a long time ago. And have we gotten any WRs from out of state? Terrence Tolliver was big time.

Richt has been on the hotseat for years and it never hurts UGA's recruiting.

2012. Our recruiting has been affected. We recruit based on immediate playing time. Bama recruits based on a system that will eventually help you be great. So Bama gets guys who aren't afraid of competition. We get guys who avoid competition. That's one reason our team just doesn't show character like it used to.

Why would we go after out of state wide receivers when the state is loaded with talent just about every year?

Les Miles and Jeff Grimes to OL recruit:

See our OL getting their asses spanked? That wouldn't be happening with you in the game.

Ed Orgeron to DL recruit:

Saw how we ran out of gas? I can play you in the rotation day one and I'm the finest DL coach in the world.

And on and on and on...

Recruits don't usually care about results and when they do, they put themselves on the field and think they will impact the game in a favorable manner.

Results and records don't affect recruiting.

Doesn't matter.

Program is on life support. Death imminent.

That's bullshite. Bama loses recruits every year based on who decides not to turn pro, or how many players are stacked at that position.Bama recruits are no different than any other recruits.

That's not what he's saying. I think you know that.

Not until we go 6-6 a few years in a row. Until then we'll pull the majority of the top recruits from Louisiana. Snag some "big" guys from Texas, Florida, and Mississippi.
The only impact it has at this point is losing recruits to Alabama. Some of the big 5 stars that were on the fence probably wouldn't have gone if we'd been beating bama.
Robinson, Collins.. Tony Brown.
We'll be better than fine in that department (at least while Frank and O are here), but losing to Bama is the only thing that hurts (although relatively negligible in terms of recruiting).

Bret Bielema was saying after the game last night how that win was going to help get more players from Louisiana, and that Jared Cornelius was one he's already gotten.
