I hope that the players are able to see this article. If ever there was a year set up for us to take down Bama and win the SEC, since 2011, it's this year.

I thought the best part of the interview was when Mascona said something along the lines of "The Bama game is the huge game here in BR and for LSU. What is the feeling there when it's LSU on the schedule?" Robinson's immediate response was something along the lines of "It's a big game because it's the next game. We look at every week as the biggest game of the year."
While certainly human nature tells you that they definitely get a little more excited to play LSU, that "next game is the biggest game" mindset, while boring, is how you get consistent great play as opposed to up and down consistency based upon the level of your opponent.

The term "neoteny" comes to mind. It is a characteristic of some humans and salamanders where reproduction is accomplished while in the juvenile or larval stage (a local example is Ambystoma talpoideum, or mole salamander, which can be found in ponds in the Mississippi Delta near Vicksburg--it still retains external gills yet reaches sexual maturity). I have known a lot of neotenic humans (and, yes, I did attend the University of Alabama for a short time, but I have seen them at other institutions I have attended as well--USA & USM--and I am sure there are some lurking here...
