My favorite quote:

quote:

Alexander said playing at a faster tempo gives the offensive line an advantage against the defensive line. “Especially when you practice that way,” he said. “You’re in better shape, and the defensive line can’t substitute like they’re used to in practice. So those 2-yard blocks turn into 5-yard pancakes.”

Yeah, LSU was so predictable last year.

Last year?

"Hester up the middle" was a punchline in my seating section.

Very excited about this offense. Our defense will be a force, but naturally it will take them a few games to gel. If this offense can carry this team through the first few games, this could be a special year

You had best not let rantards see this who absolutely swore all offseason right after the clemson flop we were balanced and we were NOT predictable.

another gem

quote:

“We feel like teams didn’t respect our passing game,” he said. “You look at the film, and you can see eight men in the box. This year, we’re going to be more aggressive in the play calls, whether we’re running the ball or throwing the ball.”

We had morons here telling us it was all EXECUTION. Riiiight, we were supposed to execute against 8 and 9 man fronts all year.

The closest I've gotten to a practice is these videos. Obviously the tempo is higher, but are they doing different drills? Is that targeted coverage throw something they did previously?

This is the number one reason why I was excited to see us hire Cam. If the fans couldn't see we were predictable the opposing sure coaches could. The sad thing is we won a lot of games the past 2 years like this. That should be an indicator of just how good of talent we had/have.

This is another reason why I think we kick some arse this year. No one is gonna expect what we are gonna unleash on the them.
