Ok folks. It's time for a reality check.
I don't want to get into the PR nightmare that a potential Briles hire would be. I think that's pretty evident.
But some of you need to stop championing a coach who is known for offense SOLELY because we have been Offense-starved for a decade.
LSU has a rich history of excellent defense and for once we need to bring in a balanced coach who respects and appreciates both sides of the ball.
Don't let your thirst for offense be a driving influence in your wish lists.

I would be furious over a Briles hire, but hopefully we exhaust all other options first.

There will be a significant adverse reaction in Louisiana and nationally if we hire him. He is a criminal in my view...accessory to rape in that he actively, intentionally and overtly covered up sexual assault.
Moreover, and to a lesser degree, he's not that great. He doesn't play defense and he is old. He should not even be in the discussion for this job, which is one of the best in all of football.
