I need a consensus...if we can just win out we actually have a shot at the playoffs depending on sec west standings. What do we need to win the tiebreaker??

Just don't watch the game and you don't have to root for anyone. Problem solved.

Auburn. And then after we beat Bama you have to pull for them to win out

Nice. Go auburn...large farva you're dumb though. By your logic don't watch any games and just check in after the season is over to see how things went...have fun with that.

I am not pulling for either one. But I think AU rolls Ole Miss, They are beat up after what LSU did to them... Expect more of the same sat.........

My understanding: We need Auburn to beat Ole Miss but then we need Auburn to lose 2 more...Miss State to lose 2-3 more...and we need to win out.

In 1997, an Alabama win over Auburn would have put LSU in their first SEC Championship game. I dislike Bama with serious intensity, but I was rooting for them on that occasion. If it benefits LSU, I would root for any team.

Pull for AU. They'll lose to the Gumps in the Iron Bowl. That gives us a dang good shot if we win out.

But if auburn loses to ole miss they will likely lose to Bama and still have to play uga. Ole miss will probably lose to miss st.

The west is so competitive that if we can just win out I like our chances of making the playoffs!

Here's what would be ideal (assuming LSU wins out):

Auburn beats Ole Miss, then loses to Georgia and Alabama, giving them three conference losses.

Mississippi State loses to Alabama and Ole Miss, giving them two conference losses.

LSU, Alabama, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss all finish at 6-2.

LSU would have the better record vs common opponents at 2-1.
Alabama would be 1-2, Mississippi State would be 1-2, and Ole Miss would be 2-1 but lose the head-to-head tiebreaker to LSU.

But if Auburn beats Georgia and the rest of this scenario plays out, it's a 5-way tie with each team's record vs common opponents at 2-2. I'm not sure how the tiebreaker works at that point.

Auburn has a loss and are still ranked #3. If they lose again, do they even fall below #10? Ole Miss loses and drops to #15 or lower with 2 losses in a row.

However, we got raped by Auburn and beat Ole Miss so it would make our win against Ole Miss look better if Ole Miss were to win, which is the more recent history so I think that benefits us more.

We lost to Auburn and need them to lose 3 games. We beat Ole Miss and only need them to lose 1 more. I'm rooting for Arkansas to beat Ole Miss, Georgia to beat Auburn, Bama to beat Miss State, and I think I've finally decided Ole Miss to beat Auburn.

I was at that iron bowl. Bama blew that game.
