National media coming out in favor of him. Recruits and current players speaking out in support of him. Reports that Jimbo is unlikely to take the job. Really starting to look like Les can save his job with a win over A&M and a decent bowl matchup.

I can see the 'longer this drags out' the better, he might survive take. But, it appears to be all done. No vote of confidence & You don't leak all the information out, and do nothing. Les was talking like a man out the door yesterday. It's over. He's knows. Everyone knows it.

Yeah, that is exactly what is happening.

I was listening to the XM College Station at lunch and those guys pretty much stated that LSU had better have someone locked up right now if they are going to fire Miles; and the fact that nothing has been announced pretty much tells us that there is no on locked up.

you mean the knee jerk reaction is being viewed as a knee jerk reaction, weird.

It's too late. The damage is done. If he was getting another year, then the assistants he wanted to keep should have been kept. Alleva has made his bed, and there's no turning back now.

There's only one way Les saves his job, IMO, and that's if he comes up with an absolute home-run hire at offensive coordinator.

Not only does he need a credible OC, he needs a credible OC who will get full control of the offense. I mean FULL control of the offense, and it would probably need to be stipulated in the OC's contract.

I don't see that happening, and I'm not sure it would matter, even if it did. Miles would need to have something lined up within a few days of the A&M game if he wants to survive, as well, because 'institutional logic' is liable to turn against him.

They are being respectful to miles by waiting and letting him coach the last game this season.

Do you idiots really think there would be an announcement at this point? If we were to get a current head coach, that coach still has a game left with his current team. No shite we aren't going to announce we are hiring someone who is still coaching for another team. Jesus, this place is a cesspool of retards.
