Are Division Champs determined by number of conference wins or win percentage?

I'm not saying that I think it will be cancelled, but with all the talk of moving it, possibly cancelling, postponing it, etc. how would a cancellation effect the division title races?

In this perfect world, Alabama loses to us, Auburn, Texas A&M, and everyone else on its schedule. If there were a three way tie where we had 6 wins with a win over A&M and loss to Auburn, A&M has 6 wins with a win over Auburn and a loss to us and another team, and Auburn has 6 wins with a win over us and a loss to another team, how does that shake out? Do we get it because we'd have a .857 win percentage while the other two have .750 win percentages, or would it go down to the three-way tiebreaker rules?

There is zero chance of canceling the game.

It would go by SEC losses. If two teams are tied at 1 loss then the head to head determines who goes to Atlanta. If three teams are tied and team A lost to team B, Team B lost to team C, and team C lost to team A, they use point differential.

I completely agree that they're going to play the game, but if they were to hypothetically cancel it, how would that effect how the division champion would be determined?

No, I don't think so.

It's always gone by win percentage in the past (before the SECCG), so if one team was 5-1 and Bama was 6-1, Bama would get the championship due to the extra win over Vandy.

So if LSU finished the SEC 6-1 with the hypothetical cancellation of the Florida game, and Alabama went 7-1 with the loss to LSU, Alabama would go to the SECCG due to having a 0.875 win% over LSU's 0.857 win%.

Correct. At 6-1 we would be 1/2 game behind a 7-1 Bama.

It's not that confusing of a question.

If one teams plays fewer games than the other divisional teams, then obviously the teams will not have the same records, so how is the champion selected? To take an extreme example, imagine that of the top three teams in the division, Team 1 had two games cancelled, Team 2 had one game cancelled (its game against Team 1), and Team 3 had 0 games cancelled, and beat both Team 1 and Team 2.

Team 1 - 5-1
Team 2 - 6-1
Team 3 - 6-2 with head-to-head wins over Team 1 and Team 2

Who is your champion?

Well based on your senerio Aurburn and TAM would each have 2 SEC losses andLSU would only have 1 so LSU wins the SEC.

Right, I was just pointing out that the OP wasn't asking an absurd question. You can end up with champion who lost to another team with the same number of wins.
