Aranda's Q&A - Something vaguely familiar here

quote:Same protocol we've heard for nine years in a slightly modified message format.
Everyone, comfortably and confidently, does their 1/11th so you don't have a situation of 10 guys doing something, one guy doing something else. Two guys doing this, nine guys doing that. You'd like to be a defense where everyone has a piece and they believe wholeheartedly in that piece, and they all attack with that piece.
quote:I hope that's how they communicate.
First thing with that is communication, guys have to talk, be on the same page with language.
quote:Huh?
In the early stages it is always comfortable to be here, and it can be a disadvantage later in the year because you are always there.
quote:What we may have here is a hybrid of Les Miles and Yogi Berra.
It's intricate but not as difficult and detailed as I thought it was.

Looking for shite to complain about. There's many defenses that don't communicate properly.

Don't know why this is on the recruiting board but i will add this.
Back in the day I was a trainer for delta state and sat next to coach aranda on a bus ride from the hotel to the field where we were doing a walk through at.
He told me his major goal for his defense was to play like water. I thought he was just pulling my leg so I asked how.
He said that water is the most destructive force on this planet yet it will mold to whatever vessel you put it in. Defense should play like water. They should have one mission which is to destroy while being able to conform to whatever shape the offense puts it in.

1. Why is this on the recruiting board?
2. Why are you being a douche for no reason?

If by this, you mean someone who complains for no fricking reason at all, about a product that they haven't even seen yet, and coming to conclusions without using cognitive reasoning...then, yes, there is something vaguely familiar here.

As far as communicating by talking being so obvious, what about the 2013 hand waving epidemic? Maybe a bit of verbal communication could have prevented busted coverages instead of gesturing like 12-year-olds having a temper tantrum.

Les Miles and an actual yogi, like a transcendentally spiritual Les Miles.

So you are admitting that you are to dumb to comprehend what he is saying. He isn't talking to first graders. The rest of us understand.

I don't think you know how malapropisms work.

He was asked for coach-speak, and he gave it...
All coaches on every level are trying to do the same thing: Win football games.
It takes teamwork and communication, and the coaches job is to make that happen. So obviously coaches will all say the same thing as far as what they are trying to do.
All that matters is if they are good at it, and that's a question that can only be answered on the field not in an interview.
So what options did he have in your opinion?
Say he didn't want to all 11 guys playing together, or that he wanted them using spirit fingers while communicating???
It's a question and answer

Did he at least attribute that to its source, Bruce Lee?

Do YOU realize that these are two different words?
It always cracks me up when a poster makes mistakes while calling another dumb.
