Yet we made him the highest paid assistant coach?
I kid, I kid...
These voters are fricking clueless.

LSU had a better Defense then Clemson. I think they averaged like 18 points a game and LSU gave up like 16 points a game. They gave up a lot to Louisville.

What kind of little biatch fans are trollin' the Rant these days? This putz needs to start his own board for whiney arses board and bring the rest of the chicken little biatches there with him.

I can't believe Aranda is seriously even up for debate. Regardless of who our HC would have been, if there was no Aranda in the plan then that person wasn't worth the hire.
To do what this D has done and Aranda in his first year, he most certainly been a finalist. Add the changes around him during the season, again- in his first year, and that's just icing.
Indeed a mark of great assistant; he got it done despite everything around him. To use all the other drama around him as a reason to leave him off goes against the purpose of the award in the first place.

I don't put a lot of stock in the postseason awards. Basically they have become the booty of teams that are seen to be winning championships. Not necessarily the best player or the best coaches.
They're linking every award to whether their team is successful or not. Although that may be a factor that should not be the only one i. e. passed Heisman winners.
