Seriously, who's kidding whom? Unless No. 1 LSU spends January abroad and No. 2 Alabama goes on Christmas break -- and doesn't return -- then we've got our Allstate BCS National Championship Game matchup.

Trent Richardson carried Alabama with a 203-yard performance.
It all became 99.9 percent official Saturday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium. That's when and where Alabama toyed with Auburn as if it were teasing a kitten with a ball of yarn.

"Y'all are going to get to see my vote," said Alabama coach Nick Saban, referring to his weekly top 25 ballot. "So now you're gonna know what it is."

And just in case there was any confusion, Saban was asked if he coached one of the two best teams in the country.

"Yeah," he said. "Yeah."

In other words: See ya, one-loss Oklahoma State … See ya, one-loss Virginia Tech … See ya, one-loss Stanford … See ya, undefeated Houston.

Hello, LSU and The Rematch.

"Everything I could dream of," said Bama defensive end Damion Square. "Whoever it may be -- if it's LSU -- I'd love to see LSU or whoever they may choose to put up there."

But if he had his choice of opponent?

Pause. Big smile.

"No comment," he said.

The door to the BCS room of secrets was left open lately by the keepers of all BCS back room secrets. By the sports writers and TV new men around college football.
Now we are getting to see for our self. Just how the backroom deals between the members of the BCS Bowl selections are really put together. Where the deals are made.
To say that it is a messy sight is a understatement. To say the least.
That I would rather not know now what I am seeing done with my own eyes. Horror of horror. The truth is worst then my imagination. The BCS dirty dealing in the back room is totality with out honor. And the bottom line is coming from a shady group of men hanging on to a abusive power that is abusive because of them. They are the reason the College football BCS Bowls setups are a mess. No one else. They are in a simple phrases " Full of bull".

Alabama has yet to win anything but the games that they have played against too many weak opponents. Alabama has not won a conference division, or conference title. Alabama has now stopped playing any more game. So we the public are ask to tune into a # 2 best college football team in the Nation. And that the team is the ESPN choose Alabama 11-1. Who has not really earned that spot. Nice going sports writers, and TV men. Keep messing around like that some more. And maybe the rest of this country just might turn out of your backroom BCS deals in the future. And have one of the most fun sports in America. College Football. Hurt.

You corrupt low life keepers of the BCS secrets. I am very sorry that I looked. I will not look again. Keep you silly secrets. And my all means stay close to each other backside. I dough very seriously if you will be welcome in the other neighborhood around town. Your clothing that you wear, is better then you.

yadda yadda yadda....Bama is the 2nd best team in the country - shame we will have to beat them twice, but it's not their fault that everyone else sucks.

Bring em on again I say, I know our players are skeeered.

Funny how they claim OSU had such a horrible loss, yet 11-1 USC was voted #1 in both polls with an identical loss to a 6-6 Cal team in 2003 over an OU team that was 12-1 and lost to a 9-3 team. Amazing to me how perspective changes.

Difference that year is that there wasn't another dominate team (like bama) out there.

There was LSU and OU. Both had much better resumes, but OU lost its conference and was dropped to 3rd.

Bama hasn't dominated shite. Their schedule has been a joke. They didn't face the best 2 teams in the SEC East and played absolutely no one legitimate in OOC. LSU faced two better teams OOC than Bama for God's sake. Hell, OSU faced 2/3 OOC with winning records and played no FCS schools unlike Bama.

What's honestly pathetic is people calling the Big XII weak. I am not claiming them to be the best at the top, but depth-wise they are. Despite playing 9 conference games, 8 out of 10 teams are bowl eligible. That means they are doing work in OOC, and they have.

Overall resume isn't simply your loss. It's quality and depth of your wins and Bama isn't even close to matching OSU.

You lose at home while scoring 6 points and your best non-conference win is against the 4th best Big 10 team. You don't win your division, don't have to play in a conference championship game and your prize is...... a spot in the national title game. If there was ever a better argument for playoffs, please let me know.

disagree, they didn't win the game, the division or the conference. I believe it will be either Okie State or Va tech. Maybe even Stanford if the other two lose their conf championships and Stanford wins out but I doubt it.

It's either Oklahoma State or Bama. There are no other options, no matter what people tell you.

Va Tech is just way to far back in the computers.

In Billingsley, they are #11 and likely highest can go to #8 or 9.

In Peter Wolfe, they are #7, and at best could get up to maybe 5.

In Anderson and Hester, they may be able to get to #4 but that is a longshot.

In Sagarin's new rankings for this week, they are freaking 19th!

In Colley's Matrix, they'll likely be 6th and MAYBE have a shot to get to #4.

In the Massey Ratings, they are #9 right now and MIGHT move to #8 after their win against Virginia, so max them out at like 7.

There computer average overall won't be higher than #6, which means VT would need to be voted #2 and Bama (who will likely be #2.5 if OSU loses) be voted higher than 9 to pass them up.

Va Tech is not happening.

The only decent thing to do since Alabama is in the drivers seat is to let them pick who they want to face I the NC. It's only fair!

I've never been much of a RAH! RAH! so I will
give you a completely neutral posistion.I am
not sure how you saw the Bama game but what I saw
was 2 great teams playing a close game that LSU
won in overtime. Did you take a break when the
Bama kickers missed most of their kicks ? You wouldnt have anything to complain about if Bama
made 1 more kick which any kicker should be able to do. Granted kicking is part of the game. The fact is it would be criminal if the 2 best teams
WERE NOT in the National Championship game.

IF YOU WANT TO BE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE BEST !

As to the kicks, unfortunately, their long kicker has made only 22% of his kicks over the season. And 50 yard kicks are not automatic or even all that high in percentage made.

No other team but bama can get a rematch. The powers that be wants Bama to have another NC so its important they give them another chance. It sounds like from his statement that the Tigers are the ones outside looking in. Its like we didn't play that game at Bama and won. Still no respect. Its all about Bama.

This argument is getting stupider and stupider.

Bama missed 4 kicks. All were 46 yards or more. Those are not automatic kicks and 1 of them was blocked, as in LSU stopped the kick, not a random miss. Furthermore, as previously stated, special teams is part of the game and Bama's kickers are bad.

Thus LSU is the better team. Why not harp on the fact that Bama got into LSU's redzone ONCE! LSU got into the redzone 3 times. Bama won only 1 thing in that game, and that was the first quarter.

After the 1st quarter on here were the stats in yards:

LSU = 187 yards (205 with OT)
Bama = 185 yards (180 with OT)
