Basically one poll comes out in june and the rest follow with pretty much the same rankings. Polls before October are stupid.

The AP needs to just give up. Their poll is absolutely irrelevant and has been for years.

At least the selection committee is waiting to do their poll until the end of October. It's the only one that really matters anyway.

Last season Florida State was ranked 11th and Auburn was unranked in the AP. Coaches poll had Florida St 12th and Auburn unranked.

The selection committee is probably the worst idea yet. Its just taking one of these polls and saying only a few voters opinions matter, then deciding everything on that

I think at the end of the day the committee poll will mirror the AP and coaches polls. I still believe the polls are relevant.

I hear you. I'd much rather use the BCS system with 4 teams. The committee will have biases on who they let in, even if they don't admit it.

yep, especially the coaches, does anyone believe that they actually cast votes?

Perpetually in the top 5 of preseason polls. These mean diddly

we should move to the Mountain West, then we'd always be pre-season favs
Posted on 8/17/14 at 2:27 pm to CheerWhine
the committee pole will mirror all the poles that went before that's why I like the computer s, people are always bias

@johnP_hayes: Only Alabama can go on a 2 game losing streak, lose their all-american QB and move up in the poll

hell, we dropped in the polls once before we played the(Katrina) game, of course we lost it, so I guess the polls know

We (after beating Wisc. God willing) should climb the polls pretty quickly. Oregon has Michigan St. Game 2, Auburn vs. Arkansas (possible but not likely upset), USCe has Clemson.

What a shite ranking. FSU is damn near a lock for the playoffs
