Anyone know the extent of laird's injury?

Seems pretty significant if he didn't play.

X-rays were negative. MRI on Monday. That's all we know.

Had an X-ray, not broken. Slight sprain.

I say rest him until he is clearly 100%, he is pretty much useless with a blown tire since he is a straight speed guy.

The biggest thing this hurts is having to keep Stevenson in the lineup. Stevenson wasn't going to start today.

Stevenson is going to start whenever we face a RHP no matter if Laird is healthy or not.

Our defense is definitely suffering with those 2 starters missing. Laird is our best outfielder and jacoby puts Katz back on first and is an excellent 2nd baseman.

Laird. He means blew up as in just swelled after he rolled it on his glove.

Not really, could very well be a slight sprain & they are holding him out for precautionary reasons since we have a nat. seed locked up.
Although someone in the game thread said he was spotted on crutches.
