You mean the play where he didn't get the out? Yea so slick

To quote from CBS sports, who know a little bit about sports....

Twist ending: The runner was safe! He beat out the throw. That's okay. It doesn't make the flawless behind the back move any less thrilling, especially since a) it seems like going behind the back was the only way to make that play close, and b) most shortstops couldn't even dream of getting to that ball in the first place.

I equate that play that Bregman made to a basketball player jumping over two players with his head a few inches above the rim but he misses the dunk because he tried to throw it down with such force that it hit the back of the rim. If I saw that attempted dunk I would be in awe. A play doesn't have to be successful to be awesome.

This is the longest running blog about a play that didn't work that I have ever seen. Would we be talking about this play if it were Sciambra who had made it? Foster? Scivicque? No. But, I am happy for those who love this play and want to talk about it and I am extending the duration of the blog so you can continue to live in it. To me, it is really funny. Keep talking about it. Sweet dreams.
