First, gotta say "thanks" to Buga. Looking forward to seeing him on Sundays.

And of course, Guice will be the feature back next year.

BUT - I am also excited to see more of Brossette. In the limited snaps he saw, he always seemed explosive:
Run vs. Mizzou

I am thinking that he will be a fantastic change-of-pace back behind Guice, with Darrell Williams taking a lot of goal-line work.

For sure, especially with a competent OC.

If we get Akers, do we see more of Brossette?

I think all backs LSU has can have succes but it all starts with the 5 lineman. I do worry about that.

May catch some downvotes here, but he looked slow on that run. Got caught from behind.

He has looked elusive on some runs though.

Nope. Outside of Guice, I don't see a guy on the team that looks like a typical LSU back.

Damn the people in this thread are hating on a kid that's dying to play for our team and is talented as hell. I personally can't wait to see what Brossette can do. Terrance Magee had a pretty good year and he isn't nearly as talented as Brossette.

He will surprise people. Kids got a great work ethic. He kind of reminds me of a more impressive Alfred Blue. And that's saying a lot IMO

I really like brossette, but he will likely always be a depth guy. It's just the truth . LSU pretty much has a revolving door of freaks . Brossette could see a lot more touches in Canada's offense though . Let's see.

Not really. People are just being honest in their assessment that they haven't seen anything special from him yet.

Honestly I like all the LSU backs and I want them all to succeed but he doesn't seem to be in the same class as Guice.
Maybe more snaps will show us more of what he's all about.

YAAAAASSS. Williams should only be used for short yardage situations. Brossette is a talented runningback.

He was rated higher coming out of highschool than Jeremy Hill and a bunch of other LSU backs that contributed a great deal. I don't think many people in this thread have seen him play so they automatically think he's not good. The kid cried when he fumbled the ball for us. I want him to succeed more than anyone on our team.

Brossette ain't no scrub and would be playing plenty for a lot of teams. I'd expect more 2 back sets with Canada's penchant for misdirection. He'll get his chance, Akers or not
