Anybody else worried about our O line vs State's D line?

The only way I see us losing is if we can't run and Etling has to run for his life all night. The O line looked better against Jack St but still not great IMO. Most of Guice's big runs were to the outside. It didn't look like our line was getting the kind of push one would expect against an inferior team. I hope we get some stuff resolved in this game.

Yes. It's the biggest concern for this game

It's a concern but I think we'll be alright. It will be close at halftime but we will do our usual pounding in the 4th where we pull away.

Their end was beating the highly regarded left tackle for South Carolina so yes there could be issues considering our recent struggles at that position

Extremely small sample size, but I saw very large holes up the middle when our second string line was in last week that weren't there when the first string line was in. I wonder if Les has mis-evaluated the line talent as he has the quarterback talent and is starting the wrong players.

From what I've read, DE used to have to run for his life at Purdue due to a horrid OL. He did look like he handled the blitz pretty well last week so I have hope that he will handle it well enough tomorrow to get us enough points for a win.

With their front seven, we will definitely find out whether or not last week's second Qtr was a fluke or not.

Having a QB that can actually throw a screen pass will be a huge help

If our line is as bad as it appears then we could be in for some trouble.

I'd be very happy if our o-line ranked among the top 4 in the SEC by the end of the year, but I think Bama, Arky, Ole Miss, Florida and Tennessee will top us in that category. Number 6 SEC o-line at best ... so yes, I'm concerned about their ability to win the trench battle against every SEC team we face. Including MSU.

To be sure, you did remember that there was this week one game against a certain Wisconsin Badgers team, yes? Wasn't exactly a well-executed game in the trenches. At all.

I'm afraid they will. I believe this year's line won't be much different (in terms of quality) than last year's: not very physical and very mistake prone.

Of course ... I'll be a very happy Tiger fan if proven wrong.

We now have a legit threat to pass so I'm a little anxious to see what they do and how they will defend us. I'm sure they will stack the box until Etling proves he can do his job but he makes much quicker decisions and seems to know what the defense is doing and where the offense will have the advantage. Somethjng I haven't seen from an LSU qb in a while. It was really a guessing game bf. I don't think so anymore. Watch out

If we can't handle this sorry arse D line, how are we gonna stay on the field with Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss or even A&M? All those teams have better D-line than Moo State!

Ofcourse. I dont understand how people have so much confidence in the game this week. We have been underwhelming on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Take a deep breath bro. LSU will win by 3 scores.
