Recruiting Classes.....as of 12/29/11
LSU
Rivals #3
Max Prep #6
Scout #5
Blchr Rep. #4
ESPN #11
-------------------
Bama
Rivals #2
Max Prep #3

Any glaring number stick out to anyone?
And if I am not mistaken, ESPN is the only one to have Gunner Kiel ranked as a 4*, not a 5*. Really?

They have Gunner as a 4*?? How do you simply ignore the fact that another site, one of the best recruiting sites that is, has Gunner listed as the #1 in the COUNTRY?? And not only ignore that, but list him as 4* instead of 5. C'mon, man!

Apparently the guy who started the thread. Do people really buy into this idea that ESPN hates LSU? I mean ESPN stumped hard for LSU to get into the Title game in 2007 and they haven't said anything bad about us so much as that they've just said more good shite about Bama. I mean hate is a really strong emotion. REALLY strong.

Recruiting class ranking doesn't matter that much as long as we fill our needs with good coachable talent.

If all of our needs are met and we end up with a top 10 class, everything will be fine.

I'm more surprised that they're so consistent on Bama. These sites have never been that consistent.
And ESPN/Tom Luginbill has never ranked Bama that high. He's married to a barner.

GK has lost some steam since the summer. Apparently he didn't do so well in 1 or 2 of the summer camps. I know I'm a bammer but I didn't make that up either.

Who cares about what they think about our recruiting class? You can have the best recruits ever, but it's also about how you use them.

Tyrann Mathieu wasn't a 5-star recruit either.

Come on guys. On a hate scale where do you think LSU is in relation to Bama? Think nationally.

I'd be willing to bet a LOT of money that Bama is hated/disliked more nationally. Not that we care because when you're at the top you get hated. Normal human behavior. Its called jealousy. And the longer you're up here the worst its going to get. The flip side of it is the respect. LSU's respect is going up big time from where it had sunk just 2 yrs ago.

This coming from a fan of the team that LSU has pretty much owned over the last decade!

ESPN always underrates Louisiana players. This is nothing new and doesn't involve ESPN bias. They are spread very thin and do not evaluate the state as much.
