Did anyone hear the commentator mention talking about asking an NBA scout about Mickey and Martin and the scout said "they're ok, but did you see Tim Quarterman?". That goes to show that scouts think that TQ has a brighter upside than our 2 NBA prospects and that the scouts look at different things other than stats. Maybe they see look at them as playing soft right now.

Half the rant doesn't think TQ should be on the court

More than half the Rant thought Martin would lead the SEC in scoring because of his tomato can stats preconference. Not a very high BB IQ on the rant.

TQ should be a really good 4 year player. Has a sixth man ever declared early for the draft?

Does everyone understand the extreme competition for few rookie roster spots in the NBA?

I think Mickey and Martin are good college players, but i dont see anything right now that makes me think either has a legit shot at the NBA.

Thank you, JOB3 is just now cracking the backend of the Bucks rotation......the bucks . He is and was better than both of them right now.

That having been said NBA still drafts on potential all of the time, where Martin and Mickey are struggling on draft boards is they are both tweeners, and recently tweeners have taken a dive relative to past years, because yes they create matchup problems for opposing teams, but opposing teams can also create matchup problems against them. Mickey would not be ready to guard an opposing outside forward/guard. But there is always someone telling them they can go pro, and they both can, just with second round picks not being guaranteed you better make damn sure you are a first, or you will be playing overseas for 2-3 years before you smell the league again.

JOB3 started several games after an injury. Much better than cracking the rotation.

JOB3 has had an offensive back to the basket game since he got here. After he got in shape and had an attitude adjustment he became a legit prospect but not before then.

I think more than TQ's ability to shoot the ball and his quick moves to the basket, I like his energy and the way he seems to be having fun on the court.

If there is a place for Garrett temple in the league, there is a spot for quarterman in the league. Prototypical spurs player.

Bump this post in a couple of years

Like Vinnie Johnson, TQ should be called "the microwave". Dude can heat it up with the quickness.

That all depends on that particular scout. Highly doubt that is the consensus in basketball circles.

I don't see any of three going pro at this point ability wise. Heck even Calipari's players are starting to see this. It doesn't mean they will not declare. We will see how all of them finish this season.

What's so funny?
Kentucky had 6 players drafted in 2012.

There are no NBA players on this LSU team. Martin has the most potential to be something. Mickey is too short and can't shoot the three, and sure as hell can't bang down low, hell he's not even Tyrus and he couldnt' cut it in the paint in the NBA.

Quarterman has looked good, but he seems like the kind of guy that will have a great college career that won't translate to the NBA. Just not skilled enough athletically to compensate for his flaws, basically 90% of the US players drafted in the 2nd round of any draft.

The Bucks are the 5th best team in the Eastern Conference right now... a playoff team. And JOB3 is playing as a rookie.
