Wish he would stick around for depth if nothing else.

OK, so who is Clapp's backup at C. Unfortunately Clapp has had issues staying healthy. Hope he has a great upcoming season anchoring the line. GT!

Cushenberry probably progressed better than excepted or maybe they cross trained brumfield.

Congrats Andy on graduating, that's a huge accomplishment no one can ever take away from you.

On another note, what are the chances he'll be snapping the ball to Brandon Harris at ULaLa next season?

Can one of our numerous defensive backs be converted to center?

Another example of a very nice guy...too nice for today's SECW! Today a player has to be a mean sob to play this modern game...

If he's graduating in May then that benefits our NCAA graduation rate and academic standing

He has one year of eligibility left. He wants to play somewhere and it wasn't going to be here. Don't blame him!!

Cushenberry will step into the backup C role.
Scary thought. A non-SEC caliber player in the first place who has never taken a snap at the collegiate level is going to be the Center if Clapp goes down. That would be a disaster. Great OL recruiting there. Dodd has been here awhile and has deserved the right to start at Center.

Cushenberry will be the emergency #2 at Center, but Malone is the most likely candidate to make the permanent move to Center if Clapp was lost for an extended period of time. He has practiced at least a little bit at Center and according to NOLA.com, "LSU coaches [planned] to move K.J. to center after playing guard in high school."

A lot of people seem to be selling Cushenberry short. I heard a lot of good things about him last summer and fall. I picked him weeks ago to be the surprise player on offense this spring. He may not be the starter this year but he'll be the starting center before his career is over.

Well hello there Mr. Dodd.

This isn't high school ball anymore. You don't get to start just because you are a senior.

He was committed to South Carolina (an SEC school) before switching to LSU on signing day and also held an offer from Mississippi State. He had more SEC offers out of high school than Tyrann Mathieu.
