After tracking his performance this year, the closer we got to the draft, the less and less I thought we would end up keeping him.
A redshirt sophomore that's been scouted all year long because he's on a loaded team, playing in heavily scouted and known league, and performing. He gone.

So can someone with knowledge on this topic give me a rundown on what this all means? Is our recruiting class going to be a failure with losing all of these guys? I really follow football recruiting but not too much baseball.

We are thin on infield.

No. We have a deep class.
Bechtold was a need piece though. Essentially coming in to start at 3rd base. We will have a hole there now, but a loss we can't overcome.
