I'm always surprised when football fans even look at pre-season top 25s. Anyone remember a few years ago when they had UGA at #1? They didn't even come close to finishing there. 2007

In 2009 there were 5 remaining in the top 10 2010
In 2010 there were 5 remaining in the top 10
I think you get my point. If you just throw USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State, USC, Bama, Florida, LSU in as 7 of the preseason top 10 you will likely have 3-4 of those be correct come the end of the season. These rankings mean nothing today. I guess it is fun conversation for some, but none of those years that I posted above had the #1 preseason finish as #1.
