Louisiana State University will always have a special place in this little Gamecock heart of mine. For the outpouring of love from the fans and locals, as well as the lengths that LSU and the city of Baton Rouge went to for the state of South Carolina and the fans of the Gamecock football team, THANK YOU. Death Valley was not the place where dreams go to die Saturday, it was the place that faith went to be restored.

WOW, glad that they had such a great time and that LSU went beyond what was called for to help SC.

In a time where society seems to be going to shite, it's nice to see the support.

Good stuff!! I know several churches from South LA are organizing a week long trip to help with the relief effort. Prayers for South La!

Great to hear

I stood behind two gentlemen on weekend leave from Fort Jackson in the bar line of the west side Stadium Club yesterday in the first quarter. After chatting with the two of them for a few minutes prior to being served, I advised the bar tender that their money was no good in Tiger Stadium. A gentleman behind me agreed and they drank on the two of us the entire game. The guys could not say enough about the hospitality of the LSU fans and could not thank us enough. I told them to quit thanking me and that they were the ones that were owed the thanks. I went to sleep last night with a better feel for humanity after seeing things first hand yesterday.

As a Gamecock that just got back from BR this morning, I'll echo the comments. From people buying my group multiple drinks at the bars in town, to The Chimes taking $30 off our meal just for being Gamecock fans, and the numerous people that stopped us to ask about our situation and if we were being taken care of, it was fantastic and very appreciative.

LSU is always one of my favorite road trips to make in the SEC and I'll certainly be back again! (Now if we could only win one of these games. )

You guys gained a lot of fans in the Palmetto State this weekend. Thanks again!

Well I was doing good until I got here. Can't help it - made me tear up with pride.

It was good to hear that LSU and it's fans were going to genuinely going to try.

It was awesome to see it executed with follow through.

May the help/love/empathy continue, the hard part is just beginning. Have to say the people of SC and the Carolinas as a whole are handling this very well.

And, it's just as appreciated that SC, it's fans, and the state have shown their thanks to LSU and Louisiana very publicly. We know who we are, and SCAR knows too. That matters.
