I am a huge LSU fan from England.I fly out to Baton Rouge tomorrow in readiness for my first game at Tiger Stadium. I will be in Baton Rouge Friday and Saturday and then head down to New Orleans for a couple of days.

I would be really grateful if you guys can give me any pointers. Best bars (I enjoy a few beers!) Places to see? (or avoid!), how early do I need to get to the game and go into the stadium? Is there stuff going on throughout Friday, or does the fun start on Saturday? You get the idea - absolutely any advice would be gratefully received.

Geaux Tigers!!!!

How does an Englishman become a Tiger fan? Welcome. You will get plenty of help here and should have a great time. I will defer to others since I have not lived in BR for quite some time.

Best bars: Try Chimes for a great beer selection and a taste of south Louisiana. Also, bulldog has a great beer selection.

Try to go see Mike's cage. Not many universities have their own live tiger as a mascot!

Also, get out to campus early and see all of the tailgating festivities.

In New Orleans, you need to visit Pat O'briens Piano bar. And there are plenty of great places to eat in the French Quarter. If a restaurant is in business in the French Quarter it is good, the competition would have put it out of business already if it were sub-par.

What bars to go to is going to be determined by how old you are. How old are you?

You ned to fidn someone with a tailgate with persons of like age. Shouldn't be too hard since your English and most people in LA have never met an Englishman. Lots to talk about.

Hey, Englishman, let's exchange advice.

I am attending a Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge in early December. (I've been a Chelsea fan since I began watching Premiere League soccer (football) in the early 1990's. I have no idea why I adopted the team, given that they were horrendous at the time.) Apparently, I am sitting in "The Shed." Any advice on activities to partake in on gameday? Bars near the stadium? Traditions? Ways to avoid being beaten by hooligans?

I love football (not soccer!). Whilst I love the NFL, there's something about college football that I find fascinating. We don't have a college sports scene in England(games are watched by 3 men and the occasional dog!)so these vast on campus stadiums are amazing, as is the pageantry that goes with it all. I needed a college team to follow and having visited and been a huge fan of Louisiana, LSU were an obvious choice.

Accusations of bandwagon jumping are harsh Mr Arizona! For ten years I have been staying up all night watching the games online - or following a dot on a stats screen in the early days of the internet!

I love the English. Drank myself silly with some London prison guards my first day in England.

Johnny, if you're a jolly bloke, you need to come join our tailgate this weekend. Tiger tailgating is every bit as important as the actual game.

Great news. You're going to have a blast. But before I give you advice, I need your age.
