One of the writers for the Chattanooga paper had a very interesting stat this morning. He says that passes that have been thrown against LSU that are at least 20 yards in the air...We have more interceptions (7) than completions against (5). Amazing!

I believe it. Everytime someone throws it deep or lofts it, I call an interception because our guys are so good at playing the ball.

It's true. It's been posted on here several times, but that stat is amazing enough to keep posting

This is exactly why I have no problems with playing one dimensional teams like Arkansas.

Arkansas also has a weak offensive line and a poor defense. We are going to run them out of Tiger Stadium.

Yup. But I think it's 6 completions instead of 5. Still.

I sure hope your right but the scores over the last four years scare me.

Assuming Ark plays to their m.o. we should beat them handily. They do have some damn good receivers, but Tyler Wilson is a reincarnation of Casey Dick. He'll throw 3 picks if he trys to go long.

my favorite part of the Tennessee game is:

Right after the review of the sideline catch Tennessee had, the announcer was saying "Tennessee felt coming into this game that LSU was so focused on stopping the run, they feel they can beat them down the field...." As he finished his sentence, UT QB dropped back and flung it deep, where Mo had better position for the ball than the receiver and took it back 80+ yds.

I stood up and barked at the TV, something to the effect of, "Keep throwin it deep, and they'll keep runnin it back to ya smartasses!"

He got that stat from the telecast of the game Saturday night. (Or maybe it was Gameday Saturday morning).

I thought we had 7 picks of passes that were 15 yds or more before the game. Shouldn't we have 9 now, with Mo and Reids picks vs Bama?

Yep. Now it's 9 picks, 6 completions - irony at it's best.

Wow, that is awesome! We just need to keep it going all the way through the Arkansas game! Wilson is prob the best passing QB we have faced this season.
