Alabama is known for beating the Pro-Offense
Do you think Les and Cam will spread our O alot to beat bama?

Will LSU change their offensive identity to something completely different? No.

You might see a few plays from a spread set. We've done it a time or two this year but it's rare.

I think you'll see a typical Bama LSU slug fest. Difference being we will have a qb that can muster more than a measly 70 yards in the air. This will be an exciting game.

Not a chance. I don't know why some are expecting to break out some secret play book. We're going to do what we do. If it works we'll win. If if don't we won't. That simple.

I know bama has alot of problems with teams with the zone read option! I would like to see these type of plays and hitting them with big pass plays.. it will definitely keep bama honest.

We did it against Syracuse

It's going to like every other LSU/Alabama game. A 60 minute street fight

The only to time the coaches trusted an offense since 2007 against Bama was 2013. That was our worst performance against Bama since 2002.

Just thought I would point that out even though I feel pretty good about LSU in this one.

We'll be doing what we been doing the last few games. Some I formations mixed in with some shotgun. Yes we will run some 3 wr sets and some read option. Throw the ball down the field, spread the ball around. We're going to do what has been working for us lately. Not going to go back in time to some power run I formation team that just tries to run into stacked boxes against Bama.

I look for Harris to run out the read option a bit!

2012 was the most trust I've seen Les and co. have in an LSU offense against Bama (for that particular game anyway). We threw the ball in every spot with no fear and burned them all over the place. But we had some coaching blunders in the end and we didn't end it when we should've which led to Chavis magic for Bama.

Alabama has built such a good run D that most opponents have stopped trying.

Ironically, running at them will be something they don't see so much these days.

What couch-coaches don't understand is how difficult this is to master. If LSU practiced this enough to - maybe - get good at it, they would have to give up on practicing their passing game. There's not enough time for everything.

And what you've contributed to the discussion is not a lot.

To the op, I don't think Les Miles will get too far away from the teams identity, but I hope to see a few wrinkles.
