I've heard the cotton bowl is being considered, but they are likely to get lots of rain too.

No shite...maybe it's the 59 inches of rain with all streets flooded? Or the emergency only travel in sections of the city. Thanks for the sleuth reporting!

I posted in another thread. My aunt is the Director of Operations for the Superdome and Arena (SMG). They are aggressively trying pull the game into the Dome.
Obviously I'm in line for tickets whenever there's an event in the Dome, so I'm in contact with her.
Will update with any official news if I hear it first.
Otherwise I'm sure it will leak before I can get back here.

Nashville is my guess.

ETA: my guess as to what is under consideration, not where game will be. Next game there is Sept 10th.

I bet it's Monday at Jerry world. Allows for cleanup from Saturday, weather to die down and extra couple days for planning/travel changes. Dallas is also easier to get to.

No reason to risk playing near potential weather.

Whether we play the game or not, the contract calls for LSU to get paid $4 million. The company that runs NRG also runs the Superdome.

is that just your guess?

U of M plays Thursday night so The Liberty Bowl would be available. For pure selfish reasons, that would not hurt my feelings.
