If there was even a chance that Miles could be retained then Alleva was not doing the right thing. Stop defending the fricktard that fricked up our recruiting.

This wasn't Sexton working magic, FSU offered him more money and LSU had no back up plan.

They were all involved. The money thing is bull shite. It's a way out of a deal that went bad. The assistant always takes the hit.

FSU offering more=sexton working magic

And the point of my car analogy of driving home in the sedan=no backup plan

Alleva is incompetent he fell himself. And looked like a complete moron at press conference. That's the director of athletics at mighty LSU? Wow!
But yes it's a complete cya. If LSU had fired miles and they didn't have a guy signed and sealed beforehand? even the president himself may have been brought down along with that wimpy AD.
King is smarter than the Texas prez evidently who did exactly that when firing Mack Brown and ended up with Charlie Strong.

I totally agree with lining up a replacement, but you do it by negotiating with 5 potential hires, not 1

I don't think there was a backup plan because the boosters weren't going to donate for another Miles. It was all Jimbo or no money. Another mediocre coach is a bad investment. They were all in and when the deal fails someone lands on the sword. Just don't tell me they weren't all in. They all saw the valley half empty at the Arkansas game.

Alleva got what he deserved. He tried to overthrow Les aka Rudy Miles and got pie in his face. Hopefully LSU can hire a real AD. Maybe Sean Peyton if he doesn't stay will the Saints.

Do you think Guilbeau and Rabalais would have printed what they did with a BOS moron and/or a gossip happy secretary?

I posted this in another thread and will repeat it here.

why does everyone keep blaming Joe? The guy is the AD. I promise you he didn't go rogue and try to fire Miles by himself. He was told to pursue that action (IMO) by higher ups. He didn't leak the story Rabalais wrote cause it wouldn't have benefitted him in getting rid of Mile. He couldn't come out and dispel rumors of Miles' dismissal cause he knew it was likely at that point. And even if he really doesn't like CLM, so what? He's the AD and entitled to his opinion. Bosses get to fire people even if we don't like the reason. That's why it's good to be the boss.
He was committed to getting Jimbo and got back stabbed and sold out by either the BOS or FKA or both.

I actually feel bad for the guy. He was told to pursue a course of action and did so with the best intention of completing his task, only to be betrayed by those who should have been on board with the plan. He was left to be the fall guy. Now everyone wants his head. That's bullshite IMO. Some higher ups turned pussy when the media and fans rallied to protect Les and joe is catching shite for it. The recruits who may bolt are gonna be blamed on him too but that's just collateral damage, but Alleva gets shite for that too. Yet I think this is more on the BOS and FKA than on JOe.
Again, JMO and not a judgement of Miles or the program. But I think most of us have had a job or been put in a position that could have turned to shite quick cause we were "doing what we were told". If you've ever had a boss who sold you out when things TTS, you can understand this perspective. That's what I think happened here.

Maybe Joe is the devil, but I'll look for pitchforks and horns on the BOS and FKA first.
Again, just my opinion cause I don't have any source or "facts" other than what has been made public. Flame away.

No he hasn't - he said the engine that drives the car, a violent truck your arse over RB stable is in good shape.

We need to learn to protect our QB and our QB needs to be able to manage the game and run the whole offense but we are not about to go Air-Raid and we sure as hell shouldn't...
