This whole ridicules waste of a weekend can land on the head of the SEC commissioner. What Alleva must realize is that his whole legacy and remainder of his career hinge on 2 things. 1. Who he hires as head football coach 2. How he handles this FL debacle. He has no room to negotiate wth FL or the commissioner in the eyes of the LSU nation. If he missteps one more time he is gone.

Alleva has handled the situation fine. Sankey is weak. I wouldn't be concerned about him making joe do jack shite.

Foley and the Montana guy were part of this as well. Foley said Wednesday the game would be played in Gainesville. That is when Stankey should have stepped in. Alleva, you hold the cards

Alleva has a chance to make his mark with LSU fans right here. If he stands up and tells the SEC to F off and makes a solid head coach hire in a couple months then he is golden. On the other hand, if he pusses out, he can start packing his bags.

It is ESSENTIAL if you are Joe Alleva that no matter how much Finebaum and Butch Jones and the media and the SEC and whoever else-- that no matter how much all of them and the whole world insist that the LSU/Floida game MUST be played-- if you are Joe Alleva you cannot cave and let that game be played on Nov 19th..... Not even if they move the A&M game from THUR to Sat.. It would still be an undue burden on LSU to play 3 straight SEC road games when we tried EVERYTHING to make this game work this week... Where I come from there is a saying "A lack of preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"... Unfortunately I don't have much faith in Alleva to do the right thing and hold firm... Our only hope is if the big $$ boosters make it clear to Alleva that he must resist or he's out the door.

LSU is in a tough spot, if we win out, we need this game played and any situation where we play it, UF already won by healing up.

If we lose a game, I would say we tell the SEC to F off since we get no benefit from playing it and we shouldn't bend over backwards to play it. In this situation UF still wins since not playing is basically a win for them.

LSU needs to delay as long as possible and only play if we need to.

I'm guessing here, but my guess is Alleva's only mistake was working though Birmingham instead of speaking directly to UF / Foley.

It allowed UF to direct the narrative and make all the decisions by simply not making any decisions.

Can't really blame Alleva, I mean one would expect the SEC commish to do his freaking job. How was he supposed to know Sankey has gorilla glued his balls into a PC acceptable safe space in the corner of his office.
