Teams that finish is the top 20 in recruiting are for the most part the same teams that finish in the top 20 in the polls.

We see this in the way that Alabama has won national titles with a bunch of walk ons. Talent is, by far, the most important part of a winning team at any level in any sport.

well this is stupid...because unless you're winning you're not going to make money. i'm pretty sure they understand this.

This is not a fact. this is opinion. Players make coaches. plain and simple. Nick saban, who many hold in high regard around here, would not win a n.c. at vandy. And, he had the same record as shula did the prior year at bama his first year.

The difference is that Saban knows what to do with the talent, Miles doesn't.

It's true. If he doesn't have a real coordinator like Chavis who knows what to do with the talent....he's clueless running option plays with Mettenberger.

Miles is the HC...he's in control of the entire team

There's a big difference between 9-4 and 12-2. Both might be winning programs but their revenue streams could be drastically different.

Look at Texas. They were one game above .500 in the Big 12 and made more money than any other program in the country:

Notre Dame made money even when they were losing.

Hell Arkansas was in the top 10 most profitable programs this year and they were 4-8.

im not talking about a single season. big money is made by sustaining a winning program.

He isn't in control of shite on the defensive side of the ball. That's one of the reasons we are successful there.

Again, if LSU was more concerned with winning than making money....we would see changes. The simple fact is that they are very content. Their inaction confirms this.

we do win most of the games we win on Talent aloen and on the quality coaching of our defense....on offense not so much...

Seems like our offfense did just fine against Alabama's legendary defense, and our defense shite the bed.

If you look at the top programs over the last 20 years and how they grade in recruiting, you'd see a correlation. In other words, you're wrong.

And if our coaching is so shitty, why do NFL scouts consider LSU players 'pro ready'? LSU has put a lot of first year starters in the NFL.

this is false as well. The difference is, and no one wants to admit this, he's recruited/has better talent than miles/lsu.

he's had a better qb for five years. a better o-line for at least half the time. miles has had better special teams. defenses has been a push.
