All the hype about Brennan but....

I know Myles Brennan is a hell of an athlete and a very good QB but you people act like he is going to come in in the spring and just jump past Etling and be a starter next year. I see him being red shirted his freshman year due to the fact that he weights 185 pounds and would get demolished in the SEC, the kid is a bean pole. What i do expect to see next year is Lindsey Scott making a jump over Etling, you people seem to have forgot that he is on the team. Everyone is talking about Brennan being accurate, Brennan going through progressions, and so on but you have a guy who has been on the team for a year now in redshirt freshman Lindsey Scott who can do all the same things and is more mobile. The kid accounted for 5,000 yards of total offense his senior year at Zachary which he put up 3,039 yards through the air for 33 TD's with just five interceptions and going 163 of 255. Add another 2000 yards and 28 touchdowns on the ground. Look for this guy to make a push next year, i know most of yall are on the Brennan train but most of yall must not know who or what Lindsey Scott is, He may be a tad short at 5' 11" but i think he can and will end up doing good things.

Yeah, no Freshman QB is going to see the field, so there isn't that kind of hype, its just future promise..

Yea i agree, they are going to have to feed him like a fat kid to put some weight on him and hit the weights hard

We get it you like Scott...I don't think anyone is expecting Myles to come in and start day 1, I'm sure not and I I'm a big Myles supporter.
It will be open competition this off season but I expect Etling to start next season

On the rant, the best QB on the team is always the one on the bench. The only one better than him is the guy who hasn't signed yet.

I'm excited to see what Lindsey Scott can do. He might be one of those guys with the "it" factor. Won't know until he sees the field.

Although i agree that Etling will probally be the starter i expect Scott to see some playing time. The kid put up those huge numbers against 5 A competion. After watching his film i think he has the it factor. I think he could very well be as good as Herb Tyler, only slightly bigger.

If he is as good as you are advertising then why wasnt he heavily recruited by the big schools that Brennan is being recruited by? Dont get me wrong, I think he is a heck of an athlete. I saw him demolish my Dutchtown Griffins.. twice his senior year but he wouldnt even be on LSU's roster if we would have landed Felipe Franks. The only reason we offered him is because we put all our chips in for Franks then scrambled to find a QB for the '16 signing class after he decomitted. Was a great highschool player but I dont think will amount to anything in college. Just my opinion.

That's solid logic right there
For the same reason Honey Badger was not. Size. Scott is an absolute animal and against equal or even better competition put up superior numbers across the board over Brennan. I'm glad we have them both but if you are sleeping on Scott because Brennan is the latest, greatest recruit then you are making a huge mistake.

Im tired of hearing about the Brennan hype as well. We dont need anyone who is scared to compete for the job. Im more concerned about the guys already on the roster and the guys who are solid on wanting to come to LSU.

It what we every year doing this time. Every recruit becomes the next best thing.

My opinion on Scott is not biased towards my liking of Brennan. Its my opinion on solely what I think he will amount to in college.
