People are throwing fit about the play calling and everything else they can. The truth is, it's the penalties that kept Moo State in the game.
We had 2 TDs called back due to penalties. A couple more drives stalled due to holding penalties. We have their offense chunks of yards with penalties. 2 I recall was the Jamal Adams taunting penalty and the Godchaux hands to the face. Key lining up off sides.

The good thing, these issues are easily fixed. Had they not happened, LSU cruised to a much easier win.

The penalties are more at fault for it being a close game than the play calling.

Already covered but true, penalties hurt. The Jamal "taunting" was weak. State guy did the same thing to our entire bench.
Hands to the face was questionable....but, yes, we need to get that shite under control...

Meh first game and on the road and a conference game, there will be miscues. It gets cleaned up this week.

ETA how many false starts? Delay of game? in that noise?

You have not been reading very closely to be honest.

The hands to the face on Godchaux and the holding on Hawkins on the sweep TD were BS.

They showed a close up of hawkish on the play and he just dominated the guy down field, and released him relatively cleanly.

Also the Personal foul on ricky Jefferson was questionable. It came very fast after the play. Not sure what for, i guess jawing off but thats pretty soft.

All easily fixable, First game against a road cupcake team....We pretty much expected a sloppy game. We have 5 more sissy arse teams until the mighty Hilltoppers come to town, Get that shite cleaned up boys or Red Grimace is going to go Ham on us.

Which is why people aren't that worried about them.

True-but the holding calls Saturday seemed to be at the worst times possible. Like after a 50ish yard TD pass.

I think he means the taunting and the offside on Key

we will still get called for taunting and stupid PF though and the offsides is almost excusable to me...we want them to be aggressive. We were tiring and he was trying to make a play.

That review on Dupre's catch would of extended a drive and possibly another score as well. Refs got that review wrong.

Ref were soft for MSU all night.

Not to mention that failed two-point conversion was a textbook pick play

they doubled fricked us on that review because Williams was going to run for a first down if they didn't stop the play for review

I agree. Wiping out big gains/TDs had a lot more to do with the final score than play calling. We can talk play calls all we want, but if we don't include player execution or lack of in the form of O penalties we are simply pissing in the wind.
