I'm pretty sure Mizzou is starting their ace in the first round tomorrow, since that's single elimination. Not sure about A&M, but they're in the same position.

I was about to bitch about Coomes not getting any recognition at 1B with a .996 fielding %. Then I saw that White is fielding 1.000

lets compare his stats to the 2B who were on the teams

Braden Shewmake (1st Team) - 0.343 BA, 10 Hr, 16 2B, 64 RBI, .948 OPS
Riley Mahan (2nd Team) - .341 BA, 14 HR, 22 2B, 56 RBI, 1.052 OPS

Cole Freeman - .329 BA, 1 HR, 11 2B, 31 RBIs, .842 OPS

I think they were correct in leaving Freeman off
and it's not even close. That's some damn good offensive numbers for 2B

Throwing one of our 3 main starters wednesday after the work they got last weekend is just irresponsible.

This is all that matters, honestly.

If we get to Walker, I hope he goes 3 innings throwing 35 pitches...

Same. Just get him some work.

If we get to Walker's turn, it'll be at least Saturday (maybe championship Sunday). At that point, we don't need to win. We are a lock for a national seed probably already, but definitely if we get to Saturday.

My worry is this: Paul Mainieri wants to win the SEC Tournament. Every year. This is his shite.

Hopefully we don't overuse Walker just to win a game in this tournament.

James Moran? @SmartestMoran 58m58 minutes ago More Paul says he'll be careful in terms of starters' pitch counts in Hoover, but besides that, "full focus" on winning SEC Tournament #LSU

I think we've got flexibility with Walker/Poche. I'd be fine with either starting game one in the regional.

While that would be an interesting discussion for another thread, no way Poche isn't going to be the game 3 starter. But Walker has been pitching as well if not better than him in the SEC.

"Starting Peterson concerns me. It is a big gamble....".......

Hopefully he'll have him on a 3 inch leash.......

When's the last time Bain pitched? He should be on good rest and can fill in after Peterson.
