In all likelihood, Miles will be back next year. I don't see a buyout as being something that is very realistic at this point. So with that in mind all Miles has to do to keep his $4 mil. a year job is to hire the best offensive coordinator that money can buy. More importantly, MILES HAS TO STAY COMPLETELY AWAY FROM THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL ALL FRICKING YEAR!!!!

He claimed so in the post-game presser.

His pay needs to be cut to bring in a better OC.

HE needs a really good OC that he lets run the show for the most part. Bobby Bowden was so successful because he delegated to quality coordinators.

It is sad to say about Head Coach, but Miles also really needs somebody as purely the back end clock managment guy. They don't need to call plays or really be involved in the game plan other than at the end of close games they simply tell Les. "You need to call two plays here coach." or "Don't call a timeout after you just got a delay of game"

Miles reminds me of George Bush. Takes care of things on the homefront and interior, but really does not know how to coach. He needs to surround himself with better people starting with someone who can run an offense and manage a clock.

The way CBS reported it, the coaches had headphones off. So it supposedly went like this:

Crowton called the option that failed. Crowton ordered the subs. Game over.

Team gets one play. Miles calls pitch to Ridley (which should have been called four downs in a row over Barksdale) over the left side. LSU wins.

From the chaos on CBS' part (I think the guys in the booth were stunned too) this is what appears to have happened to me.

But what do any of us know? Really?

Truth is, not much.
