That's a helluva list when guys like Nevis, Brockers, Jones and Shepherd can't crack it.

Chad's season in '03 was the best single season for a DT in LSU history. Not sure if his overall career was as good as Kyle's though.

Mo belongs ahead of Corey at CB.

Mo is one of the top shut down corners. PP7 relied on his athletic ability a lot, and was a dominant physical freak.

Maybe one day, but Webster was a beast in college and has been a top 10 CB in the pros ever since he got drafted. As of right he's clearly the best cornerback out of LSU in the last decade

What about JJ? He stopped more offense than any of them.

Agreed. Webster was a big reason why the 2003 LSU defense was able to bring constant pressure. He was great in one on one coverage.

Its tempting to just have the whole 2003 D-line on there. The strongest D-line i have ever seen. Impossible to run on them

Corey was drafted 2nd rd 43 pick overall.
Mo was drafted 1st rd 6 pick overall.

I love talking Tiger football but these threads have two problems: 1) makes me feel like I'm dismissing someone great and 2) it's never clear if we're talking LSU-NFL or just LSU days.

Corey was great and is having a good-to-great NFL career. But IMO, Mo was a better CB in CFB.

Only a few passes would get completed - and the receivers who caught them would regret it.

And Claiborne would be just as good a choice as Webster...

DE Spears
DE Sonic Sam

I like Sonic Sam, but I think Marquise Hill gets the nod here - particularly opposite Spears - the Spears/Hill tandem is rivalled by the Montgomery/Mingo tandem, but not surpassed.
