RPI is currently top 40 according to espn last year tenn was 37 and made the tourney...we had a drop but didn't fall off like I though we would after the state loss. Ole miss and tenn which were bubble teams going into the weekend are still significantly behind us.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT OTHER TEAMS DO!!!

They will only put 2 or 3 SEC teams in if they have to. 3 got in last year. We aren't in top 3. I'm so tired of this thread after every loss

ESPN is showing it at 39, not that it's much difference but it's a little better.

All I'm saying is our current RPI isn't dead in the water even with a bad loss. We are still in good position for the tourney despite what the sky is falling people like yourself believe.

This team has lots of leaks, but none are what you'd call "major" other than possibly Malone. He's a liability, really.

That said, discipline is one thing that can be overcome, but not lack of depth. We need every one of our guys to be healthy to make any sort of run.

Good time to start one with this 3 game home stretch. We all know this team can win all 3, it just has to make up its mind that it wants to.

Eventually you have to proof you are a decent team. Losing to the bottom of the SEC, makes you a bottom of the SEC team. At this point making the tourney wouldn't even matter.

True, the fact that you have the capability of being one, and I think we do at least relative to what being a good team is given the state of college basketball today, amounts to a hill of beans if you can't prove it consistently on the court.

This team hasn't shown the discipline to meet that standard.

So I guess because we beat a top end big 12 team we are a top big 12 team too?

Currently we are what our record says we are. A little above average in the sec because we have yet to play with amy consistency. Our top 6 can play with anybody. Shown by beating teams like wvu and uga. If any of them are hurt or get in foul trouble we have problems. this team has the talent and has shown flashes that they can make a run in the sec to get in the tourney. Even with our absolutely terrible loss we are a top 40 rpi team according to ESPN. The opportunity is there we just have to seize it.

37? ESPN is not making the decision.

Sagarin has LSU at 52.

Sagarin is not making the decision.

There is the ENTIRE MONTH of February to go. 10 games.

it matters a lot what teams do that LSU is competing against for last one in and the coveted 11-11 play in game. If the other bubble teams lose 4 in February and LSU loses only 2, LSU is ahead of the part of the pack that matters, the other bubble teams.

Yall are talking about SEC teams not ncaa teams for one. And once again, they will put less teams in if bubble teams are losing. It's not who sucks the least gets in dude
